O-RING CORD

The round profile ring is called “O-RING CORD”.  It is the most widely used and robust seal profile which stood the test of time.

SQUARE CORD

The square profile rings are “SQUARE CORD”. Before the O-RING was invented a long rubber tube was cut into thin gaskets. Because the square rings are compression molded, the square rings should have better mechanical properties than square cuts.

X-RING CORD

For sizing comparison purpose X-RING dimensions match those of O-RING dimensions. The X profile costs more than the round profile. The X-RING has rounded corners and concave indents.
